Singlera Genomics is a Founding Member of the Strategic Alliance of Human Genetic Resources for Technology Innovation in China

The inaugural conference of the Strategic Alliance of Human Genetic Resources for Technology Innovation in China (the “Alliance”) was held at the College of Life Sciences at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. As a founding member, Singlera Genomics participated in the conference and established the Alliance with experts, scholars and other research institutions in China, as well as officials from the Social Development Division of Ministry of Science and Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, National Development and Reform Commission, Yangpu District, Jiading District, Hunan Province Department of Science and Technology and additional key local government leaders.The Alliance will focus on gathering innovations from “political, industrial, academic and research” segments and will oversee the protection, development and utilization of human genetic resources in China based on uniform ethical and technical standards. The Alliance is comprised of more than 130 members. Members include 31 colleges and universities (incl. Fudan University and Beijing University), over 20 research institutes (incl. Shanghai Institute of Life Sciences, National Gene Bank, and Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology), the Chinese Academy of Sciences, more than 50 tertiary level first-class hospitals (including General Hospital of PLA, Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Shanghai Zhongshan Hospital), and nearly 30 integral companies (including Singlera Genomics, Qingdao Haier, Furen Pharmaceuticals and United Health Group).During the inaugural conference, Yang Jiao, Party Secretary of Fudan University, and Lin He, Director of the Scientific Advisory Committee, both unveiled the plaque for the Alliance. All representatives unanimously adopted the Alliance statutes and selected the permanent council, including Xuetao Cao from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Qimin Zhan from Peking University, Qi Zhou from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guoqiang Chen from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shumin Duan from Zhejiang University, Yuquan Wei from Sichuan University, Yongfeng Shang from Capital Medical University, and Li Jin, Vice President of Fudan University. Li Jin was appointed Executive Chairman and Zhong Yang, Director of Collaborative Innovation Center of the Department of Genetics and Development was appointed the first Secretary General.As a founding member of the Alliance, Singlera Genomics will collaborate with other alliance members by applying its patented, high-throughput sequencing techniques to provide a test platform with higher sensitivity, simplified procedures and lower cost. Singlera Genomics is dedicated to screening, diagnosis and the monitoring of cancer, genetic diseases, and birth defects to deliver effective medical solutions to more patients.
